The Elephant Pass Saltern, located in Sri Lanka's Northern Province, has been modernized to meet the increasing national demand for salt. Gamodh Construction led the construction of the state-of-the-art table salt production facility at this site.
The facility was inaugurated on March 29, 2025, and produces high-quality iodized table salt branded as "Raja Lunu". With a production capacity of 5 metric tons per hour, the factory ensures a reliable supply of salt in 1 kg and 400 g retail packs, distributed nationwide through supermarkets and Sathosa outlets.
Modern Salt Production Facility
Gamodh Construction’s expertise ensured the facility meets international standards, focusing on efficiency, durability, and compliance with best practices. This project is part of a broader initiative to revitalize abandoned salterns like Kurinchathivu, boosting local production and contributing to economic growth.
